Sarah MartocciVeterinary Assistant / Surgery Assistant
Sarah graduated from St. Andrews University with a B.S. in Biology. She started riding when she was young and has been involved with horses ever since. Since joining WCEH in 2018, you can often find her in surgery assisting in elective procedures, treating patients, and assisting with out-patient procedures. When she’s not working at the hospital she can be found competing in dressage and eventing, teaching lessons at her family farm in Prince Frederick, or hiking and traveling with her husband and daughter. |
Brooke Domino SkodzinskiVeterinary Assistant / ICU / Horse Trainer / Surgery Assistant
Brooke graduated from Rutgers University in 2015 with a major in PreVet/ Animal Sciences and a minor in Equine Sciences. Growing up in NJ she spent her early years competing in hunter/jumpers before switching to western cutting, roping, and bull riding. During college and shortly after Brooke worked at the racetrack where she trained racehorses, trained to become a jockey, was an assistant trainer, exercise and breeze rider, and owned some racehorses. After 5 years on the racetrack she followed her educational studies and became an equine vet tech at Running S Equine Hospital in Califon, NJ until moving to Maryland. In MD she studied anesthesia in a small animal practice and started her own horse training business in 2018 before joining WCEH in spring of 2019. In the Spring of 2020 she took over position as horse trainer and manager for Dr. Mende’s breeding and sale business as well. In her spare time she trains horses as well as her own and actively competes as a professional barrel racer and trainer.

Tiffany PearsonVeterinary Assistant / ICU
Tiffany joined WCEH at the end of June of 2020. She studied animal science when she was in high school along with Ag Business management. Tiffany is one of our furthest technicians as she resides on the eastern shore of Maryland. Since she younger she always dreamed of working in the equine medical field. Growing up she worked on her grandfather "Boo Pearson" farm with all kinds of livestock and work until the winter of 2017 when he passed away due to cancer. He was her best friend and they did everything together, going to shows, sales, or just taking a joy ride through the country. Since horses were both of their passion and way of life, she decided to fulfill their dreams together by becoming an veterinary assistant at WCEH. In her spare time Tiffany really enjoys training horses, barrel racing, trail riding in the mountains of VA, and going to big rig truck shows with her boyfriend. Tiffany is never seen around the hospital without her corgi Maverick who loves to great clients and hang out during treatments. |
Catherine MartinVeterinary Assistant
After retiring from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, Catherine came to work at Wolf Creek Equine Hospital in April 2021 as an ICU Technician. Catherine graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education. When not at work, Catherine likes spending time with her husband, horses, mini donkey, dogs, cat and pot belly pig.

Sarah CalvertVeterinary Assistant / Office Assistant
Sarah graduated from Virginia Intermont College in 2014 with a BS in Equine Studies. Following college she worked as an assistant riding instructor, a horse show groom, and a show horse barn manager getting to travel up and down the east coast to the “A” horse shows. Sarah joined WCEH in June of 2021 and when she’s not at the clinic she enjoys baking and spending time with her horse Roo.

Dana RuffinVeterinary Assistant / ICU
Dana joined WCEH early in 2021 where she first helped around the farm before joining the team as a technician. Growing up in a military family she traveled all around the U.S. before settling in Virginia. She is usually seen around the clinic with her dog Luca assisting with treatments or out in the trucks.

Andrea TorzoneVeterinary Assistant / ICU / Surgery Assistant
Andrea is currently a student in Penn Foster taking online courses working towards a degree in Animal Science. She has been involved with horses for ten years and currently owns a OTTB mare she hopes will become a hunter. Andrea started with Wolf Creek in October 2020 as a hospital and truck technician after working as a small animal technician for two years. In her spare time she goes to the thoroughbred racetracks and hanging out with her horse Luna.

Shaun GandiaICU
Shaun joined us in the summer of 2021 and has worn many hats since joining WCEH from overnight technician to lab technician when needed she is also joining our surgery team. Most often she can be found covering shifts and working late ICU shifts. When she is not at the clinic she can be found volunteering her time at Freedom Hill Horse Rescue and spending time with her husband and horses.

Patrick McGillICU
Patrick joined in the spring of 2022 and comes from a family of horse lovers. He can be found in the barns helping with patients in the afternoon as well as weekends. In his off time he spends his mornings training thoroughbred racehorses as well as spending time with his wife and kids.

Brandy GordyLaboratory Technician / ICU
Brandy started with WCEH in September of 2022 as a laboratory technician. She has been around horses since she was seven years old riding jumpers and then later transitioned into barrel racing a year later. Due to her passion for horses and animals she studied animal science in high school. In her spare time she enjoys going to barrel races, spending time with her horses and dog, and going on motorcycle rides with her fiancé.
