What To Know Before Your Arrival
Upon arriving to Wolf Creek Equine Hospital you will continue through the gates that will lead you to the main office and barn. Please follow the Enter and Exit sign; if you have a bumper pull trailer feel free to pull around the apple tree located in the middle of the stone driveway and park along the grass near the building. For larger trailers please turn BEFORE the tree in order to give yourself enough room and park similarly.
If you are visiting or in a vehicle without a trailer, please park along side the grass to the side of the building as well. Do not park in the staff parking or where our veterinary trucks are located and proceed to the office. The office entrance is located under the spiral staircase. Please make sure to check in BEFORE unloading your horse. If you have a horse that does not stand well on the trailer, please let us know so we can help get your horse unloaded quickly. You will be asked to sign admission forms as well as a release. (If you want to come prepared check out our Forms page for the required information and paperwork.). |

Outpatient Procedures
For outpatient procedures, an assistant will unload your horse and lead them through our barn entrance or to our stocks room. Upon arrival your horses vitals such as temperature, respiration, and heart rate will be taken as a baseline. For most procedures a technician will hold your horse allowing you to watch the procedures. At the conclusion of the appointment, you will be directed back to our office for any written instructions, medication, and to pay your bill.
Inpatient Procedures
For any inpatient procedures such as elective surgery or hospitalization for non-emergencies, the check in process is the same as above.
Once a technician has taken your horse they will lead them to the barn to a prepared stall to let them settle in and take their vitals. Please let the assistant know if there are any blanketing requirements, feeding concerns, or handling concerns for your horse. We encourage owners to only leave the necessities for their horse to ensure nothing is lost or misplaced during their stay. If you are bringing your own grain please make sure to have it clearly labeled AM or PM and to let the assistant know their specific instructions.
Upon discharge, one of our staff members will go over the discharge instructions as well as any medications or materials they require upon discharge. Payment is due at time of discharge.
If you would like to visit your horse during their stay, visiting hours are:
Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm
Saturday: 9am-11am
The gate the our facility is closed outside of these hours, if you cannot make these times please call the office for other options.
