We currently have two ultrasound units for equine diagnostic
services:
The smaller unit is portable and typically goes with the truck. This
unit is used mainly for reproductive examinations, and it is also useful
for some musculoskeletal evaluations of the lower limbs.
The larger unit is both more powerful and more sensitive, and it stays
at the clinic. Two different probes enable examinations of the stifle,
hock, pelvis, and pastern. This level of diagnostic ability is generally
not available as an ambulatory service, and we are proud to offer this
service at our clinic.
