Emergencies

Wolf Creek Equine emergency response

In an emergency follow these instructions:

  1. Call office first:
    (410) 741-1473

  2. If the line is busy,
    call the Answering Service:
    (410) 553-2812

Doctors will be paged immediately!

PLEASE be prepared to give the operator your phone number (where you can be reached/call back number) and the physical address where the Doctor is urgently needed.

Note: Please use this number only for emergencies and not to schedule appointments.

WCE has two (2) full-time veterinarians on staff and someone is always On-Call.  To assure your emergency needs are met, we also practice Back-Up Call.  This means if the call volume gets particularly high, both doctors cover WCE emergencies. This is a unique feature we are proud to offer.  An emergency is just that, and we are here to help.

Due to the emergency-oriented nature of private equine practice, it can be challenging to keep life and daily responsibilities balanced.  Please understand that our primary focus is to provide our patients with the care they need.  Unscheduled events may mean we are tardy for appointments and/or an appointment may need to be re-scheduled.  The doctors have busy schedules and are often with patients or performing procedures that limit their availability by phone or email.  WCE makes every effort to respond in a timely manner, so we ask that you please use WCE's office personnel before attempting to reach a doctor by the mobile phones.  Thank you.
