10.  People expect both to work cheerfully on Sundays and Holidays

9.  People expect both to be understanding and compassionate even though their patrons blatantly ignore the advice they are given

8.  People are happy to call day or night, even though they have no intention of contributing money to the cause

7.  People think families of these professionals somehow do not require their parents or spouses to be present at important times

6.  People think the knowledge these professionals have sacrificed to gain is somehow a free commodity to be poured over the earth, and that they are doing

What's up with the Winged Horse?

I (Dr.M) was on vacation on the Outer Banks of NC in July 2011.  This region had a Centenial Celebration in 2003 where 50 or more of these horse's were dispersed around the community to commemorate the

So, I have this thing for Thrift Stores (is that being too personal?). I'm always looking for horsey art and Breyer Horses.  This horse was outside "The Hotline" Thrift Store in Manteo, NC.
